Part 2 Sebastian

“Da,da, da, da,” he muttered as he sat down.

He inhaled deeply as he settled himself down in the least painful position.  His friend had a smirk on his face obviously enjoying his misery.  He glared back menacingly but it only produced a chuckle from his long time friend.  Will and he and shared a close friendship since before either could remember. Will was in his confidence even still, although at the moment he was bitterly wondering why. ..
Will always had a way with Sebastian however and despite himself he found himself grinning with his friend at his own misfortune.  ”So, as you can imagine, she didn’t take it too well,”
“You don’t say!” Will laughed. “What the hell happened?”
Seb let out a long sigh. The drama of the last few days was more suffocating than even for Will’s good humour to break through for too long. “Like I said, I couldn’t keep it a secret from her.. I owe her that much and it’s not something I want between us.” His mind started to wonder to that night he crossed a line he never thought he ever cross

House parties aren’t what they used to be. Will’s friend Brad had suggested they drop by this place which apparently was going to be awesome.  Seb watched in disgust as some of the guys passed around a bong.  They lounged on the chairs paying little attention to people around them.

“Damn stoners,” he sneered turning to Will who was currently engaged in trying to undress a girl with his eyes. Looking at the girl in question Seb didn’t imagine Will had much work left to do. Women’s fashion didn’t leave much to the imagination. Never the less he took time to enjoy the exposed breasts on offer. He was only human.  Besides he was here to enjoy himself and the ecstasy tablet he took would only take him so far.

It was a sad excuse for a party.  An Eminem Album on and about 20 or so people wondering about messed up on piss and weed and chatting about inane things. It wasn’t often he had contempt for lower class people but parties like this made his Mother’s obsession with high society seem creditable.

They’d taken Brad’s car and Brad was off somewhere nowhere to be found leaving them stranded and forced to endure this place. However, “she” made this otherwise dreadful experience something worthwhile.

She was a stunning blonde whom caught his eye as soon as they entered. She’d actually winked at him, giggled and rushed off with her friends.  Throughout the night he took every opportunity catch her eye.  Harmless flirting he told himself, a way to pass of the evening. Unfortunately his thoughts were less then faithful when she looked his way. She had a confident knowing glance that oozed sex.  She was everything Evelyn wasn’t. Her look was enough to make him thankful he wasn’t wearing tighter pants.

It was surely harmless flirting after all looking was one thing perusing her was quiet another.  Caught up in the scantly covered breasts in front of him he was assailed from behind. His butt cheek squeezed he whirled around outraged to find her laughing face. “Nice ass honey, I’m getting bored waiting for ya’ to come up to me. It’s not nice to make a girl come to you ya’ know. But with your ass, I guess I can forgive you,” His face burned hot, but with either embracement or outrage he wasn’t too sure.  ”Oh my gawd, you’re blushing, that’s sooooo cute, come with me baby,” she said shoving her arm under his, half dragging half leading him outside. She shoved him on a couch and immediately sat herself down next to him her hands already exploring the rest of his body. She kept talking the whole time leaving him no chance to say anything. He barely kept up with any of what she said instead focusing on how close her hands were to his crotch dreading that she might find his excitement entirely a joke.

He was more than a little drunk and his will to fight was overborne by his excitement. He wanted her so bad it itched begging her to touch it. He wasn’t sure when he started touching her, exploring the cold softness of her thigh, the firmness of her breast the sweet cherry flavour of her lip gloss.  She unzipped his pants and pushing her hand inside massaging him. He was so taken up in the ache of his desire that he was only vaguely aware of the people around him. She kissed him deeply her tongue ravaging his mouth leaning into him then slipping down onto the floor, onto her knees.

“Yeah Miss, two Jack and Gins,” Will told the Waitress then turned his attention back on his friend.
“She called me telling me she wanted to talk. She’s a strong woman but when she said she needed to be alone I could have sworn she was on the verge of crying. But Eve isn’t like that. Even still, I thought it might take a few days, I didn’t think She’d want to see me that very night.

She was.. I don’t know..  Erratic! One minute demanding to know who it was then telling me it doesn’t matter. She was pissed.. Which I guess… Which I guess is acceptable. I don’t know what I’d do in her place. Then she was hugging me telling me how she doesn’t want to lose me. Then shoving me back asking why I did it,” Seb bit his tongue to reign in his emotions.

Will had stopped laughing. His expression was dire and judgmental. Through Seb, Will had become close friends with Evelyn and in Sebastian’s betrayal he’d also incurred Will’s anger and no matter how much Will tried to hide it, his eyes were cold and angry. Even though Will felt partially responsible being that he was the one that suggested the pills and the party he still could not abide by Evelyn being hurt.

“She wanted me to tell her what happened in detail. I told her it wouldn’t help, but she insisted.”
“How much detail? You didn’t tell her everything did you?” Will interrupted.
“I told her enough. Most of the details are still fuzzy anyway. The parts I do remember are bad enough,”

The waitress returned with their drinks. They drank awhile in silence.  The Pub wasn’t far from the office and it was a typical afternoon practice for the two friends to meet here and talk after work. The internship didn’t really keep the two of them that busy leaving time for recreation which being young was essential in both their minds.

The internship was time to give them work experience and time in-between studying.  Both their fathers had done it and their fathers before them a legacy of sorts. Sebastian began to bitterly wonder if perhaps those weren’t the only traits he’d follow from his Workaholic, drunken cheating father.
“So, did she forgive you?” Will asked. Sebastian looked at his friend wondering if Will really thought it would be that easy. The silence was enough of an answer so Will continued, “You do love her right? You guys are/were practically married right?”

Sebatian winced at the ‘were’. “I don’t know her feelings, I asked her if there was anything I could do. Told her I’d do anything even if it didn’t really make any difference only making things slightly easier for her. I didn’t really expect an answer, but she,” he winced again at the memory.

“She what?” Will encouraged.

He didn’t know why she wanted to meet there. It was a small park abandoned this time of the year. It was secluded so they could have privacy but in either of their homes no one ever really disturbed them so if it wasn’t the privacy which lead her to choice this place. The only other thing he could think of, the only nagging notion was the concept that perhaps this was somehow neutral ground. She was beautiful as always the girl of his dreams.  He choked on the maelstrom of emotions upon seeing her chief among them grief, love and shame.

She kept her distance stopping several paces from him. He’d arrived early not daring to keep her waiting one moment.  Her eyes were downcast and she shuffled her feet uncertainly. ‘This isn’t like her, although I don’t blame her. What have I done?’ After a pause she firmly set her eyes on his commanding his attention. Her eyes were so expressionless that had she been crying moments earlier and he wouldn’t know. Seb could never read her moods.

The silence held for countless moments and then unable to take it anymore he acted.  In three powerful strides he quickly closed the distance between them and before she could react he pulled her to him tightly, desperately wordlessly murmuring words of pain and repentance. She struggled at first before holding him just as desperately. “I don’t want to lose you,” She said.

It wasn’t until she was in his arms he became aware of the immense sense of loss and pain when she was away from him. She felt so right and he was suddenly terrified how he could exist if she sent him away. Finally, she moved and eased him off her. He relented.

“I have some questions,” She said slowly. At his slight nod she continued. “Have you been seeing her for awhile?”
“What? No, it wasn’t like that, She was no one, She means…”
“Don’t you dare tell me she means nothing to you, Don’t feed me cliché’s!” her voice was ice.
Biting his tongue he said “I’ve never seen her before that night and I’ll never see her again,”
“Who is she. NO!, I don’t want to know. Do I know her? Is it that whore from your office!”
“No, I don’t know her. I don’t even know her name,”
“YOU WHAT? YOU JUST FUCKED SOME STRANGER!”
“NO!, I mean, yes.. I..”
“What so you just went up and said Hi, let’s have sex?”
“No, she came onto me,”
“and you didn’t think to tell her you had a girlfriend?”
“I was drunk,”
“Oh, so that’s okay then is it? Have a few drinks and…”
“And I was stoned,”
“WHAT?”
“I.. I don’t know. It was just some..”
“Your cheating on me and now you’re a stoner?”
“No, it was extacy”
“YOU GOD DAMN IDIOT” she screamed shoving him hard.
“I’m sorry, I know I’m an idiot, I know there’s nothing I can say.”

Silence. Evelyn was shaking in rage. She looked so hurt Sebastian wanted to cry. He wanted anxiously to hold her again but knew all too well right now she wanted to vent. He talked into the silence.
“There is nothing I can ever do to make this up to you. You need to know how much I love you. How much I hate me right now. I will not forgive myself either. There is no excuse. I don’t deserve you, but I don’t want to lose you. Please.. I beg of you, If there is anything I can do to make this up to you. I’ll do anything,” he pleaded.
She assessed him carefully in her way, reigning her emotions until she stopped shaking and for a moment, he could have sworn he saw a hint of an evil smile. “It won’t make things better, but it might make me feel a little better,” Evelyn said in a strange tone.
“Anything, I’ll do anything,” he pleaded
“Okay…”
A sudden sharp agonising pain shot up his spine. Sebastian fell to the ground gasping for air his eyes bursting from their sockets. Clutching his crotch he howled in pain. Vaguely, he was aware of her walking away, almost skipping leaving him on the floor in intense agony.

“She kicked me in the balls,” Seb admitted and Will burst out laughing and this time could not be contained.
